Our Story
“Rong Hua” — 榮華 Bak Kut Teh
The roots of Rong Hua Bak Kut Teh trace back to the 1920s, when our founding grandfather Mr Chua Ah Hua migrated to Singapore in search of a better life. Working as a coolie unloading rice sacks along Clarke Quay, he found the daily energy he needed in his favourite morning bowl of Bak Kut Teh.
His passion led him to apprentice under village elder Uncle Rong, a well-known Teochew Bak Kut Teh master. Together they developed a unique blend of spices — the very recipe that today carries the name Rong Hua Bak Kut Teh.
